i've made one of my favorite figures and i thought i would put him up for doc. this figure is pretty personnal to me. i got worms and the maggot just after my dad divorced his 2nd wife(1987). she was the embodiment of satan, so everytime i see this figure, i think of her descending back to hell and i score the maggot, utter happiness.
w.o.r.m.s. took a lot of work and tooling, inside and out. however, i am really satisfied how he came out. i'm going to show a series of pics, just cuz he means a lot to me and he's a b-side fig, no props thus far. i took some artistic license with the belt and strap and other stuff, but i tried to keep it close to the spirit of the original. i couldn't resist, i armed him up a little. i included a couple of b4 pics. btw, my dad has an awesome wife now and i have two great moms! here's the parts: head: sshadow torso: ace w/buzzer and sshadow parts for adornments and medals arms: cobra commander, cpack destro hands belt and sash:retro fitted sts/buzzer belt. retro fitted w/knife 1:18, upper legs:ace, lft leg breaker holster from torso vest knee caps: arah mutt knee caps lower legs: destro cp, lft leg retro fitted w/knife 1:18 and various belting feet: destro w/retro fitted straps sshadow here's his beat: Last edited by A.V.A.C.; 07-20-2008 at 12:57 AM.. |

I think W.O.R.M.S. has one of the worst names in Cobra, but this custom is pretty damn cool. If he was on the pegs, I'd buy him! Points for going to the obscure end of the Joe-verse

Nice! That OG helmet is so big. All I can think of is the Rocketeer when I see that helmet.

Color me impressed. My only criticisms would be the head looks to bet a bit low on the neck. Makes him look one one of those some what heavy set guys with no necks. But that's also sort of cool because it gives him a different body type then the typical Joe/ Cobra.

cheers eddie, i wanted to be accurate, but i also wanted to leave open some interpatations. i left out the snow boot effect the orig. had around the boots. i also think the orig. had lack of self defense sitting open in a cockpit like that. if any one were to get close to w.o.r.m.s. he should be able to pull out grenades, c-4, knives, glocks, and destro fists. you hear me maggot.
another funny thing bout' this fig is his projection of regalia such as awards, honors, ribbons, medals, and sashes. what the hell is a guy named worms so proud about, apparently a lot. |

W.O.R.M.S. was one of my favs as a kid. I got my Maggot at christmas and a few days later, my mom went into my room and she stepped on him, breaking him in half. I still have the figure but i never replaced the o-ring. A.V.A.C. you custom W.O.R.M.S. looks great. It is definitely bringing back alot of memories...

i hear you about the neck buzzbeak, and i thought about altering it. but when i saw how i could change the expression on his face, like he had something to prove to his mentor "kind of thing". he kinda had a youngish quarterback look on him like a "turtle neck like he can prove anyone wrong". sure enough, this young recruit from a kansas football team turned out to be a pretty viscious cut-throat tread-driving mad-man.

thanks viper, if it makes you feel any better, my mama stepped on my first joe ever, snake-eyes. i was on the kitchen floor with him while she was fixing eggy waegs. she stomped and i was left with a one straight armed snakey for 17 years until i finally replaced him.
