I’m going this year for the first time. The GF and I are also taking the Custom Class, which should be fun.
Any tips for a first timer? Thanks guys. |

Too far a drive for me. But I did hear Joelanta was coming back? Did go to Toylanta and had a blast.

We wanted to do the Customs class, but I don't think we are going to be able to be there Friday morning.

I just submitted the paperwork to get this trip funded. Waiting for the signatures.
If you guys are there, please come see me at the Rising Sun panel and introduce yourselves. |

I will definitely ride out. Nothing like beer and a toy con.

I will be attending for the second time (first was in 2021) with my dad.
First timers, definitely have a list of wants and a BUDGET. You will see so much to get, you would go crazy without a plan. Lots of fun and everyone is friendly. |

It would be more about doing the class and painting stuff with my daughter and less about the parts. I'm not a customizer normally so it would be about the experience. Not to mention I don't have 2 Slaughter's to spare! Hopefully next year we can make the con and do the class.

I am seriously considering going but it would require flying... and the con hotel is sold out so id be a few miles away... trying to weigh the experience vs spending the costs on o-rings and vehicles.

It is fun, but if you are going to try and close holes in your collection then I would say you would be better off spending the money on that. The show itself you can hit and be done with in a couple of hours probably less. It isn't Joe centered really there are tons of other toy lines being sold and really only 2 or 3 vendors focus on high quality vintage stuff. My buddy and I have gone to JoeFest every year after going to JoeCon the last couple of years it was a thing. We go and make a week of it. Downtown Augusta is great with the restaurants, but again if you are purely going to buy things I would say skip it. I only have to drive like 3 hours so it's no big deal for me.
