That all said, I wouldn't have joined the club just to join the club, I did it merely because it was more a less a bonus to getting the set. |

Don't want the whole set myself. Just one of the Vipers.

Too pricey for me. With shipping and exchange rate, it would be almost $400 for me. Not worth it, IMO.

I was about to ask how much this set would go for, but no way in hell am I paying that much.......oh why do they have to make exclusives so desirable?

For all the people that will pay that much. Heh... Keep watching eBay, exclusives are likely to show up there as well. But they won't be much cheaper by the item.

Ebay will be the best way for most to get this. The problem is that at $320.00 or more this set is just way to over priced. Maybe one of the China guys will get them in and be selling them.

Actually I think it's a couple bucks cheaper to join the club first and then buy the set, so absolutely no reason not to do that and get that next member exclusive figure. Another key point is that you can buy a 2nd loose set for only $150 after you buy your first boxed set at full price. Using moderately optimistic estimates of eBay prices I'm predicting that I could sell everything from the loose set and 6 of the 12 Vipers from the boxed set and end up breaking even, essentially getting to keep the rest of the figures for free, not counting the labor involved in selling and packing the figures. So I ordered a boxed and loose set for home delivery the day the order form went online and plan to do just that. With 25AC fans being so starved and many possibly skipping most or all of the movie toys, I think strong eBay demand for the loose CST figures is safely assured.

Plus, I like the twins, and this is the only repaint/re-release we have of them so far besides the comic two-pack. The Baroness figure looks really nice too. |
