I've been doing shows for several years and have gone through several styles of table top, acrylic lid style figure cases. If you order them online you can expect to get the made in Asia version that will require you to do some reinforcing to make it last beyond a show or two. Shipping will also make it painful.
You can build these cases fairly cheap and ensure quality workmanship however if that is not an option there is undoubtedly a "store displays" type of store in your area. Take in to consideration than every time a business opens or closes they trade out fixtures, cases, stands, grid, displays, etc. We have a massive warehouse store in my town of 100k that has anything you could ever imagine regarding store displays. Finding them used will be much cheaper and I suggest you go that route. It ensures they were built to last for a while. The type you want, it really easy to make. Heck, you can look up a nd find the blueprint online I am sure. Just go to home depot, buy some wood and have them cut it to your requirements. A good day's work with a drill and you are ready to rock. |
