So since the club switched to modern-style figures for as their membership figures, it seems pretty apparent that they have been using the membership figure to give us the most prominant remaining individually-released ARAH figures. Their first figure was Dial-Tone, followed by Footloose (the last remaining single fig from 1982-85). Last year that added Iceberg, completing all of the individually released figures through 1986.
Then with the Night Force set, we get several 1987-88 figures with newly tooled heads in Night Force colors. It seemed like a no-brainer that the club would double up its profits on teh tooling and use at least one or two of them to help push the second FSS, but they didn't. That makes me think that they basically showed us our next five membership figures (Psyche-Out, Repeater, Muskrat, Charbroil, and Spearhead.) This would give us some of the most sought-after remaining joes and therefore give them the most membership renewals and sales. Anyways, after all the rambling, I wanted to point out that their was a breakdown of Repeater in the club mag this month, and he wasn't in night force colors, he was in traditional colors. I figured they would give us Psyche Out this year, and Repeater next (they seemed to be the two most sought after set figures) but Now my money is that this years membership figure will be Repeater. Any thoughts? |

you might be right, but being that they bring them carded every year to joecon, and CC was never released carded, i don't anticipate that.

The club also said that the work has been done to make a Night Force Hit & Run, but he had to be changed to a Kreo figure because of the height of the parachute drop. My guess is that they haven't made a decision yet and will look at the con feedback forms and determine which one of them (that are already tooled up) is in the highest demand.

I would guess one of the single carded figures from 1987 that hasn't been done. Which would be:
Raptor Crystal Ball Fast Draw Marine Gung-Ho Sneak Peek Psyche-Out (classic colors) Law & Order (classic colors) My bet is on Sneak Peek. I would also like to point out that the club would get A LOT of flak for just repainting one of the NF figures for the annual membership figure. I think folks would be more accepting if they did it a couple for FSS, but would be put aside if they did it for the membership fig. |
