Oh man that was awesome, especially Snake Eyes stabbing the trooper and turning the sword. Excellent.
Now I hope Storm Shadow is written into this series as an honorable warrior that must live a lie in seeking the truth. Without that, he is just a generic evil ninja in white, who opposes Snake Eyes, and thats boring. Storm Shadow is the character writers have to be cautious in handling, as he is a hero who works in the shadows, and while its very easy to write him off as generic evil ninja, at his core he isn't. He's just a warrior whose rage got the better of him but ultimately he is honorable and not evil, and besides, who wouldn't be pissed if you got framed for killing your uncle and everyone favors the new guy you brought in out of kindness over you? Can't wait to see Storm Shadow in action. I am glad Snake Eyes is using a short sword, it emphasizes that he is more of a commando than ninja in this one(least thats what I hope from his costume design). |

The action definitely does look cool. I could personally do without my childhood toys killing and dying, etc., but then, you couldn't have Snake Eyes using his sword very effectively. Oh, tradeoffs!

Storm Shadow will be a make or break for me, but given the writer and his history (especially Doom 2009 near the end, the only half decent 2099 title), I'm not worried. |

EDIT: Misread a news piece, they won't be airing the Dart Knight as far as I know. However, they have aired all the Liongate Marvel movies, which does have the same violence and language as this. Last edited by Blade Raider; 08-07-2008 at 12:43 AM.. |

Again, this series is not, I repeat, NOT being produced by an actual Japanese Anime studio, but rather a Western animation firm called 'Titmouse' which does the animation for other knock-off Anime series like "Avatar". Joaquim Dos Santos, the Art Director for this series, was quoted in an interview by Comic Book Resources that the Anime series "Ghost In The Shell" was actually his major inspiration for the look of Resolute. That information brought a huge smile to my face. Why Hasbro didn't get a real Anime studio to make this series I don't know, maybe they couldn't afford to hire one given this project is on a smaller scale then Sigma 6. But so far Dos Santos and Titmouse seem to be doing quiet a good job and speaking as someone whose watched as much Anime as I have, they seem to have gotten pretty close to the real thing as a Western animation house can get. |
