Depends on how you collect. I personally like to open all my toys, I dont really care too much about resale value. If I did I wouldnt be buying toys.

They do lose their value opened up but nearly the entire board has been buying these to open and play with. They might be selling hot now on ebay and such, but they won't be goldmines in the future, like a lot of scalpers seem to think at this point.
