Annnnnddd I got a new display case for Christmas!
So heres my collection (well, most of it) As well as some of my other randomly chosen to go in the display case figures. I bought a light (The "Grundtal" spot light), but I left it at my grandmothers house at christmas, so next time I go down there I can pick it up. Ill start with the full shot: Top has one of my collectors cases for extra figures/customs and vehicles that dont fit in the case: First Shelf: Second Self: Pretty soon, the Dreadnoks, and Cobras (who are in the back) will be getting their own shelf (in my "bookcase" which is actually a bunch milk crates stolen from Wawa that I duct-taped together) and I will be modifing their "cube" with a completely flat surface (probably a black wood square) and another light "Grundtal" light from Ikea. I will post pictures of this when I get it done. Then the space in the on this shelf will go to my SkyHawk of which I got a FlexiDisplay (Those clear, positionable stand) for. See next post for rest of pictures.

Third Shelf:
This one has some Gorillaz figures on it, as well some of my Resident Evil figures (not all of them, just my favorites, I would need another case for all of my RE figures). Note my dead mint 1974 Mego Spiderman figure. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g4...E/DSC_0114.jpg No doubt one of my favorite toys ever. Bottom Shelf: Lastly, MOC stuff, and a vintage Wolverine with Cover Girl!!

Very nice display shelves and a very sweet collection! Very well organized, lit well with the spotlights. I'd love to have such a set up like that, more contained yet very visible.

Case: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10011055 Light: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30119314 They had another case (forget the name, its the one that gets secured to the wall) but its more expensive (99.99) and it doesnt hold as much. EDIT: I decided to make a thread for display cases and such! http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...tml#post519483

Imagine how weird that look when you see a 30 year old guys (I'm 35 myself) playing with joes, when he got responsibilities he needs to tend to his family, house, job, chores, etc. Unfortunately but it's true, we all gotta grow up sometimes. I keep mine in the packages, I knew it'd be a headache trying to set the figures up for display and then after few days, you get tired of seeing them in same fashion, then you'd reset all the figures again, then somebody fall over causing domino effects, knocking other figures down, pissing you off thus spoiling your fun. IMO, it's pure headache and they're much easier to tend to mint in packages. IMO, they're prettier that way. LOL!!!
You say we all gotta grow up.... dude, we're all collecting action figures, and furthermore, posting on an internet forum about 'em! There's no difference in maturity between one who opens and displays, and one who keeps the MIP. In terms of "family, house, job, chores"... I have a wife, two kids, a home, I manage a branch with 35 million in assets and 12 employees, and I still find time to "play" with my Joes. It's what I do in my free time (what little I have). Frankly, to me, it looks far weirder to me when you MOC guys have what looks like a mini store in your home full of figures on pegs than it does to have a glass case or bookcase with figures displayed!

I very much agree Derek, its much more satisfying to have them displayed than to have them packed away. Its fun to keep them on the card for awhile to open later, brand new and fresh. I also don't think maturity has any real part in doing either way, even setting up a small 'store' in your place which is creative as well.

And sometimes I give in.

Just took a few shots of my collection. I still think the coolest thing I own is the signed Optimus Prime 0 by Peter Cullen.
