And yeah, plastic period is through the roof right now. I bought 30 sheets of 1/16x12x16" abs abround 6 months ago for a huge dio I'm building- ran short, went to grab more, and saw that the price had more than doubled. |

I'm still waiting on a couple of risers and a custom piece that I had 3d printed...while carving out space for the Rattler.

I can fit everything in my current set up, but I'm going to have to be real selective on HASLABs in the future. Honestly, if it isn't one of a select few items or if it's bigger than my current shelves allow its a pass or something I buy and not display for a few years.

I did some rock building in response to my wife pointing out that I had some sad looking seaweed in my Torpedo v Eels display...she wasn't wrong.

That looks great. And not saying this from false modesty, but better than I could manage. I take the Bob Ross approach to foam, have some happy little accidents with my heat knife and see where it goes.
I really like the moss on the rock, it looks legit. |

Thanks man, although it's far easier than it looks, you might surprise yourself. Literally a matter of dispensing the foam loosely where you'd like it (or on wax paper, for individual rocks), cutting off the upper shiny layer (you can leave it on for lava rocks, that sort of thing), and then basically slashing the surface horizontally and vertically with a serrated knife- definitely fits that old Bob Ross method.
The moss is also a cheat, I use various colors of this stuff:https://woodlandscenics.woodlandscen...FobVmcEA5UqUFU |
