Hey tankers, here are a bunch of "Class of" pics I started a while back and recently finished up to promote our Action Figure Foam storage/display trays on Kickstarter.
Enjoy. Vallen

THOSE ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Though the fact we've never gotten a modern Frostbite really sticks out as he's the absolute last figure remaining. |

I would love an official Frostbite, done up as the 85 version, even though i am happy with my custom.

Great job on the groupings. I noticed many are soft customs from the original 25th releases.

Great pictures. Tollbooth was an '85 grad though. And the USA Sarge was an '85 mail-in so might want to cram him into that class too.
That's movie Black Widow's head on Covergirl. Now we need the Cobras! Last edited by JediJones; 02-27-2015 at 08:50 PM.. |

Tollbooth is iffy cause Sears had him out late '84. I love seeing lbc's that I've done as I used the same Black Widow head on my CG. Kinda odd how we're getting more modern releases from 85' on while the 25th line predominates the 82' through 84' era. Whatever, I like the line up the op has created.

The shots definitely show why I love the 25th-line and up. This line is a fantastic update on the originals. There are hardly any "bad" figures in it despite what some people say on these forums. Replacing the Spirit head I can understand. I wish Mainframe had a new head. Obviously tweaks to Thunderblast are needed to get him more accurate. Other than that, I don't think any of these core 1982-1986 figures need any changes to be great inclusions in the line.

Hey. There are always those cross over figures between years...I mean Silver Pads Grand Slam is technically 83 but I stuck him in the 82 shot also...Slaughter V1 is 85 but I went with the 86 version and Duke got in both the 83 and 84. I always look to the neck...Tollbooth was a swivel necker...so he is 84. I actually I have some strange but true GI Joe stories about what I clearly saw and bought regarding Joe in 83 and 84 in Toronto Canada...maybe I should create a new thread for that...and see if others had similar experiences.

Are they soft customs or the "fixing" and "quiet updates" most figs need these days...lol
