I've been in awe looking at fellow board member's G.I. Joe collections here and while mine isn't nearly as impressive I thought I'd share it anyhow.
When the 25th Anniversary line hit I decided to buy (at least) 2 of each Cobra figure with the intention of displaying one of each character sealed. I searched out some good plastic cases for the figures and then tried to figure out the best way to display them. Somewhere along the way I saw or was told the figures would make a good "wallpaper" like boarder around the top of my toy room. I liked the idea so I gave it a try. I started on the far left corner of the room and made my way around the top of the room working to the left. I tried to keep the figures in the order the waves were released. Towards the end of the 25th Anniversary line either my waning attention or the lack of finding new figures I may have missed one or two. I was able during this time to get the SDCC silver "Pimp Daddy" Destro and SDCC Cobra Commander. I also found the Wraith variant at retail. The Pursuit of Cobra has drawn me back in (I say that b/c 90% of my toy room is Transformers) and now that Walmart is carrying Joes again I've decided to grab as many of the Cobra characters once again to display on the wall. I'm basically out of the space at the top of the wall so I wanted to utilize a small space further down on the wall. I didn't want to use clear push pins to peg the figures on so I searched for another alternative. I found them in clear small hooks from 3M Command. I don't have many at the moment, but the G.I. Joe aspect of my toy room is finally coming together. It's still a work in progress, but here is the majority of it. Next step is to find a better way to display the few vehicles I have. Need to figure out the best way to hang jets and what not from the ceiling. Enjoy!
