Thank you for chiming in with some info on here. I was thinking of parting out the smaller stuff as you mentioned. The smaller vehicles and figures. Maybe the figures as just one lot. eBay is out of the question. I just closed my account with them while dealing weeks with them and my account. I used to sell there years back and was great but now...eesh. They have as much fees as ticketmaster. Apparently on ebay once you sell one item now you become a seller account and ebay refuses to let you delete your banking info. once it's like that. Closing account is only option. 20 years of ebay...done with them. I'd rather sell in locations like here where it's all fans of GI Joe.
So the smaller stuff is easy to ship and box. But items like the carrier and dome would be more difficult to ship. That's my concern. I know the carrier breaks up into smaller pieces but still...it's came in a huge box to begin with. I guess I need to go pick up the smaller stuff and take pics and post here see if any one would be interested in them. We don't have many hobby/collectible shows here so selling it that way would be bit hard unless I travel 4 hours away from here. As for Star Wars most are small ships except the Ewok Village and the Imperial Shuttle being the larger ones. I have quite a bit of those figures too. Perhaps you'd be interested in the Terror Drome if I could figure how to ship it well lol. I already ship heavy stuff but those are wooden so they can take a beating in the mail. Plastic is a whole other monster. Thank you again for giving me some tips. I guess next step is to bring this stuff home and take pics of the smaller stuff and Dome. I don't remember if the Terror Drome came disassembled when I got it or it was one big piece. As I mentioned previously, that Star Wars stuff should do pretty well here as well, a fair amount of us are fans of that franchise as well. I personally haven't been down that rabbit hole since the 90's, but I'm certain a quick google search would yield a related database for SW as well, most of the major toylines from the 80's have one. The ships in particular will likely interest many. Once you get things sorted out, definitely feel free to hit me up via PM. My own personal interest in the Terror Drome, etc. aside, I'm more than willing to help walk you through listing items here, as well as how to pack and ship any of this stuff; as a moderator of the site, I'm here just about every day. The TD and Flagg in particular can be a challenge, but they can be done, especially if you're used to shipping wood*- I myself had to disassemble a TD back in '18 or so, and found this video to be invaluable (I should note that there are a few small changes I'd make for the purposes of shipping/selling, we can cross that bridge if we get to it): *may I ask what wood stuff you were shipping? I used to ship a lot of wood projects all over the country myself.

Yeah, I try and avoid eBay where I can now. Like you, I've used it for quite some time, but between the fees and increasingly impatient customers, it's not what it used to be.

I used to ship a lot of wood projects all over the country myself. I know Star Wars has a huge following too and I'll have to look up places in addition to here to sell those once i can clear my GI Joe collection then I'll start the next. Train sets I was reading don't really have much value. I may just chuck those in one of my parents yard sales. I make and sell dog bed frames. I had zero intention shipping these. But when I made a local post on Nextdoor app for some reason my post was showing up in California too and I had people messaging me from there that they wanted them too lol. I was contacted for other stuff too like a bed table to use lapotp on that goes over your legs. And a 2 arcades. One was a bartop and other just a control panel type that hooks up to tv. Stuff like pet bed frames are easy to box, strap and ship. If box dents nothing really happens to item inside. And I made my beds to fit just right into boxes i ordered on Amazon so I don't have to use much padding. One question, is there a place to check current prices for these toys? Or how much they selling for to get an idea where to start pricing? Besides ebay. If all goes well and I manage to sell my collections, I'd love to finally get myself a new vehicle using these sales as a start to any downpayment. |

http://jedibusiness.com/ JediTempleArchives.com | A Star Wars Toys & Collectibles Resource; News, Visual Guides, and Reviews for Collectors JediBusiness (now known as "Galactic Figures") is my favorite, as it's straight forward, and has some nice utilities (such a side-by-side figure comparison), as well as lots of ways to filter figures. They only cover the figure in basic detail, and not all figures get equal time. They also only post a relatively few pictures. Jedi Temple Archives is all right. It's more difficult to sort figures there, but they have very few gaps in their archives. The figure write-ups are much more detailed (almost to the point of having a word quota), but can be informative. Plus, they tend to have lots of very nice pictures.

I use these two, but they mostly cover figures rather than vehicles.
