I'm looking to move on from GI Joe, and many of the other toys I accumulated through the decades. I currently have a very large GI Joe collection consisting of mostly Modern/25th era style figures as well as tons of army builders from all eras. I'm also looking to let my vehicles and playsets go. I have a larger collection that I would put a retail value of close to 10K on it. I'm willing to let it all go for $4-$5K. I could go through the trouble of parting everything out, making a bunch of posts and selling everything individually and probably make more than what I'm asking. Honestly, I just don't have the time to do that, and I know I would be left with some of the harder to sell items, and I'm trying to move it all out.

So, all that said, is there a market out there for someone selling an entire collection? Is there a known person, group, or business that is buying up stuff to resale and make a buck? I just want it gone so I can move on with my life and focus on more important things than toys. I can provide pics of everything if there is an actual interested party. I will not part it out. So I don't want to post a bunch of pics for everyone to have people asking me how much for so and so figure out of the hundreds I'm trying to move. I'm just curious if there is a market for it, and if this might be the place? Or do you all know some place better?

I think places like SmallJoes, Brian's Toys (if it's still around) and local comic/toys shops buy collections. Seems like I used to see ebay listings from "POWER SELLERS!" that would advertise buying collections.

If by "army builders from all eras" you mean that you have '86 Vipers, '85 CGs, and '86 Bats, I'd be interested in buying the lot of them.

In my experience, comic shops and specialty shops who buy entire collections won't come close to the number you are looking for unless it's a lot of convention rare exclusives that are still factory sealed. If you are thinking 4-5, the shops are thinking like $1-1.5k. Just the reality of trying to sell an entire collection at once. The market for buyers is small and they want maximum profit.

Sealed or loose? If it's sealed, I may be interested.

Last time I emailed Smalljoes, they weren't buying vintage collections. I'm not sure if that still stands, though, and I haven't asked about modern collections. There's no harm in emailing them at least. I don't have a clue how well they pay, though.

Brian?s toys is still around and buys collections. eBay listings often have ads to buy collections yes.

For the amounts you?re looking for p, you?re better off selling it off in groups of figures like Sataninjaku asked about. Sell it off in groups of figures and you?ll get a lot more. Toy and collectible shops will low ball their offers. Hisstank is one of the best places to sell it.

I hadn't thought about them in a decade, at least, but look what comes up when you google them, an ad and tutorial on selling to them: https://brianstoys.com/sell-your-toy...BoCw8oQAvD_BwE

Thanks for the input. I'll be checking into some of those options. I am trying to avoid selling my stuff in lots because of the overall time it will take. Also, most of my stuff is loose, and I may have some stuff that is basically filler that will be hard to sell. Which means I'll be left with stuff for a much longer time if I break it down. I'll give some of these places that buy collections a try first. I'd much rather be one and done with everything as soon as possible. Thanks again for the input.
