Hello to my fellow collectors!
I have been reading the forums for quite some time now and finally decided to post. Recently I have pulled out my figure collection from the closet and began sorting and actually organizing some things. It has been several years since I have messed with the figures. I had focused in on file cards and paperwork type items as they were easier for me to deal with in the space I had for sorting etc. My question is where do I go for pricing information now? Sifting through these posts, ebay, and even conventions have left me very confused. It seems like there is a wide range of prices for figures of the same condition. I have a growing pile of duplicate figures I would like to list somewhere. I do not want to seem greedy nor do I want to just hand them out. I want to be fair for sure! Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Best place to find accurate market value is eBay SOLD listings. There is an 'advanced' search engine on eBay that can be found in the upper right hand side of the eBay NONMOBILE home screen. It allows for multiple search option filters including sold listings. This will give you a good idea what people are paying. Also keep in mind if you sell on a forum like the tank the market will be slower and you should charge less. Hope that helps!

I would start with a sold listings search on eBay. The. You can set the price that would work for you then. I would put the items on a Buy/Sell/Trade thread on here first. Then resort to ebay later. At least on here, you will not have to pay any eBay fees.

Also, if you post on here, you forego the federal tax you will have to pay as well as ebay fees, considering you now have to pay taxes on any sales over $600(it used to be $20000), and Ebay reports that. However, you definitely won't make as much money on here, as you will need to post items for at least 20% lower, as we are frugal and smart buyers lol. But they will go to good homes at least.

I'm wondering the same thing. I got a Terror Drome for Christmas in 1986 and it's been in my collection since then. It's one of the items that I'm looking to sell off.
