I have picked up a few figures for people in other states and was curious to how everyone else sells and ships. This is the first time i decided to pick up figures for other collectors and i don't want to sell on e-bay. I don't know if i should ship when payment is mailed or received. I don't know if i should put tracking on my packages. I don't want to screw people over and i don't want to get screwed for trying to help people out. Also what is the best way to package the figures i sell? I don't want to send a bent up broken figure to someone.
I am not looking to make a profit so i will sell at retail price plus shipping. I don't mind helping others find figures and if things go well i would be willing to help more in the future. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... |

I would wait for payment if you don't know the person well, and tracking is always a great idea.
Here's a thread on mailing things: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1221 I like to place a piece of cardboard behind the card and wrap them together in bubble wrap to keep the card from bending. Then put both in a box that's big enough to hold them. Extra bubble wrap or other packaging is probably a good idea to keep the figures from sliding around in the box.

i always use usps priority shipping as they give you free boxes and it's very easy to print shipping labels at home that include delivery confirmation (a must in my opinion). all you then have to do is provide a bit of bubble wrap, some tape and a trip to drop it off at the post office or let them know to pick it up from your house, which they will do.
the shipping tips here are very good. this provides your buyer with a sense of security knowing it's in a box and has a tracking number. it also provides you with some measure of security knowing it's in a box and has a tracking number. always wait for payment or payment to clear. this is standard business practice so no onw should be offended.
