Over the last few months I have thought about getting rid of stuff I don't need any more. I've got a huge bin full of my ARAH figures, a couple arah vehicles, some recent vehicles and a bunch of carded figures, two packs, three packs etc. I am wondering what the best way to sell the collection would be. Should I put them on ebay or is there a better way to do it? I live in Canada but when the borders open up again, I am able to cross and ship from the US. Any suggestions appreciated. thank you.

Hit me up. I'm buying ARAH figures like a madman right now.

I am interested in some ARAH stuff as well. Are you looking to sell the collection as a lot or will you be selling stuff off individually? You could start a for sale thread on hiss tank but your best bet would probably be Ebay.

If you sell as a large lot, you should try to avoid eBay. Their fees will take a big bite out of a huge sale.

I would recommend taking your time and doing it in smaller chunks. That allows you to maximize the value and also, perhaps more importantly, say goodbye to things and think about each piece.

If you need cash quick or are sick of it all, a carefully itemized, well-described and well-photographed eBay lot listing is probably your best bet.

I really appreciate the responses. I don't need quick cash. Just trying to simplify my life. I have always loved GI Joes, and I have displayed some of them but I just feel, whats the point of having them in a box or bin. Someone else will get enjoyment over them. I sold a bunch of my 25th doubles etc about 8 years ago and now its time to get rid of some more stuff. I've got my openers of the 25th moving forward that I'll probably keep. I went through my bin of ARAH guys, and its tough thinking about parting with them. They're guys I played with when I was younger. But again, they're just in a bin sitting there until I feel like rummaging through them again. I'm sure I'll keep the ones that I really like but there are a bunch I can part with. I'll have to go through the ARAH joes and get back to those interested in them. I really would love to stay away from EBAY, they are fee crazy and usually make you receive payment with paypal which they also take fees from.

Yes, eBay + paypal will usually cost about 13% I think. I sell a lot of stuff there, but it's definitely more to clear space than actually make money. It's depressing to think of how much money I've made for them.

The only thing I would say is make sure you want to sell. The reason I say that is 80s toys, in about any condition, are hot and the prices continue to rise. Should you want to get back into Joe collecting it is likely to be expensive.

If you want to avoid fees and make sure your collection goes to fans who will appreciate it then I would think hard about selling here.

I've adopted this rule of thumb to keep things under control as I've gotten older.

If I can't/won't display it then it needs to go.
