I would love to get the whole set. I only have maybe two packs worth. There was only one set released in the US. The 2nd set was released in Canada or something like that.

These cards are actually quite rare, and a complete set tends to sell for over $200.00 (including the set of stickers that goes with it).
There are 200 cards in the set, and I believe 10-12 stickers. In 1987 Comic Images also produced a set of Gi Joe trading cards, then in 1991 Impel released a set also. In late 1991, early 1992, Impel cards were also released with single carded Gi Joe figures, and the cards were gold bordered. There were 20 different cards made, including a check list. Another set of Live Action cards was produced in 1993-1994 and were released with carded Gi Joe figures again, and a special 4 card set was released bagged with the Comics (#'s 136-139 I believe). These cards are fairly hard to get as well, as the only place to get them was with carded action figures. In late 1994 another set of cards was released for the 30th anniversary of the 12 inch figures, and showcased a lot of rare and unreleased items from the 3 3/4 line. Most trading cards can be found for cheap, and are quite easy to locate. But trying to complete a set of Gold Bordered Impel cards, and the Live Action cards (which actually has a variant to each card, the back is different) can be hard. The original MB series cards did have a series 2 as well, but I believe they were released only overseas. They are identical to the ones released here as far as the characters and art, but are shaped a little different around the corners. Good luck locating a set of the Milton Bradley cards. If you cannot find them anywhere else, I have a complete set for sale, but would want $225.00 for it. |
