Guys, I am starting to see multiple B/S/T Threads from the same members on the first two pages. Remember the rules Tankers, only 1 active thread at a time. If you have an older thread and you bump it, you will need to edit and merge it with your current one. Ask a MOD for assistance if you need it
As a reminder, here are a few key rules:
5. One B/S/T thread at a time.
If you have a thread on the first 2 pages, then simply add or edit that thread.

6. No private store advertising.
If you own a store (non-eBay store) or dedicated page to buying and selling toys contact an administrator for advertising details. (If you do not comply your post will be removed and you will be issued a warning).

7. Bumping threads is limited to one per day.
We realize the traffic that goes through the forum and the desire to stay on the first page but bumping threads is limited to once per day.

Yup, i stopped doing it once i realized the rules. The problem is the thread with them is not really highlighted in a specific way to emphasize that point.

That being said, we should be able to edit the heading for the threads so people know why it is being bumped or if new stuff is added.

Otherwise it sort of ruins the purpose of bumping old threads because people think you have the same stuff or didn't add anything.

Don't know if that is possible, but i am able to edit the main heading on other sites for a thread.

If you only bump once a day you can have multiple threads(titles), just bump 1 of those in a day, the next day bump the next thread & so on.

The guys that are bumping their multiple threads 2-3 times an hour are really ruining it for those that follow the rules, I just bumped mine and it's now dropped several spots due to people having more than 1 thread and both of those being re-bumped within minutes.

i tend to bump after 2am, so by noon my threads are sunk to page 2. but nonetheless, i agree with 1 thread 1 bump.

now i have a question, say i have a particular item or group of items i want to "highlight" in their own thread just so i can unload them. understanding the 1 bump per day rule, can i make the tread for just that specific item/group, or do i have to include it in my b/s/t thread and deal with it?

The best solution for this is to keep all your items for sale or trade in one thread but change your thread title to reflect what you want to highlight. That way you don't wind up with two or more threads

IE: Shogi's B/S/T Thread! could be changed to Shogi's B/S/T Thread! (HOH/Fort Max/Scud) if something sells it could change it to Shogi's B/S/T Thread! (Fort Max/Scud)

I just changed mine as you requested, AND I updated the title, but it does NOT change the title where it can be viewed in the list of threads, OR in the summary of recently updated or posted to threads on the main page.

I understand what you guys want and WHY, but what you are asking us to do is not accomplishing what we need in highlighting our specific items when just the list of threads is viewed.

I understand what you're saying completely. I think after 3 months or so, the title won't change anymore. in that case, you can PM a MOD to let them know what you need the title to be changed to. It's a bit of a hassle, I know but in the end it keeps things organised

I tried to edit a thread title I made a couple mins after I made it and I couldn't edit it. I think it's more of an options thing that the admin has to look into and give members that ability.

The Spawn boards use Vbulletin too and you can edit your titles there, so it has to be a lil' option thingie that wasn't clicked for us.. ;)
