Mainly I am trying to put together my First Flagg.
I am finding that piecing one together is the most expensive route. Also the Ebay stuff is either crazy priced or not taken care of. Through my searching I am finding deals (that I missed out on) that are much better when coming from the Joe communities. I am not looking for collection or display grade quality. I am located in Virginia. Please if you have one that is great condition or in the Box and are selling it for a mortgage payment I am not your guy (I just dont want to waste your time). If you have one in decent shape and somewhere around 80ish percent complete, or just looking to unload for cash and room, I would love to know about it. as far as the Defiant goes, I would love to have one, but that is not my focus at this time...however if a good deal is out there I always want to know. |

Craigslist is your friend here. Look at listing for whatever cites come up in your state and neighboring states if your willing to travel. I know Texas isn't Virgina, I'm assuming that's the Richmond you live in but using Texas as an example people have found Flaggs here for a 100 almost complete.
Hey not trying to thread jack consider this a free bump and hopefully someone comes calling. |

Here are I few things I would try...
* I don't know how active you are with other members in Virginia (I'm assuming Richmond, Virginia at this point) but that might be a good place to start. * Ask around, see if there is a con/gathering/meet-up in your area where sellers might be present. I know at our last meet-up a guy snagged one at a pretty good price. * Look at other Joe boards for people in your region that might be selling. * Keep a close eye on Craigslist * Contact local hobby shops are stores that might sell vintage Joes and let them know you are looking for one. These type of places could have a significant mark up but most are willing to negotiate. This way you could potentially have more people looking for you & trying to uncover one. |

Thanks Outbackk. At this point I stay up to date on these boards and yojoe.com. I have a couple of ads out in my area and a couple surrounding areas in craigslist. I am using FeedmyInbox to report "Flagg" from craigslist each night from the RSS feed, and watching ebay. Unfortunately where I live its pretty dry for this type of stuff it seems.
Thats okay, I am willing to be patient I do enjoy the community help with ideas as well. |
