I definitely don't require pics when I'm browsing B/S/T threads and I don't have any in mine. I've never had any problems with any sellers or traders on the Tank. If you say you have something, then I believe you. I don't need pics to prove it. The only thing I'd want pics of is vintage stuff just to see what condition its in.

Pics or not.. doesn't matter as long as they have something I want and they are a good dealer and not some fool trying to rip you off for your money and your toys.

i skip them mostly because i don't have the patience to read them all. i'd love it if they were separated by brand - rah, 25th, marvel universe, sw, dc universe...

I don't believe anyone here at HT is trying to rip me off. It's just that I'm a very visual person. I can scroll very quickly and absorb every image. I also don't really care about character names, since everything I buy is for kitbashing. When I scroll through a bunch of character names, I'm like "Yeah, but what headsculpt does he come with?"

I don't mind pics so much. I usually use my phone, so sometimes its a slow process to check out some threads. As long as there are prices (or requests for your offers) and good feedback, Thats good enough for me.

Pictures or lack thereof is less of an issue as long as they provide them if requested (and vice versa). That being said, I would prefer them.
BST threads I skip... * Threads that have a million rules listed before you actually get to what they have or want. Are we trading figures or is this orientation day? Not only that but most of these are written in such a way that you should feel honored to have been selected & deemed worthy to trade with them! * Threads that don't have defined lists of "wants" & "haves". Are we supposed to guess? If I can't tell after a quick glance, I'm moving on. * Threads that are multiple pages of what ultimately is one long list & zero Joe related products in said list. I'm okay if there aren't pics, as long as the description is good. If I feel I need to see something and the seller won't send pics, then I know not to deal with them and my decision is simpler.
However, as someone else said: if you don't have prices, you probably won't get any of my business. Don't list things and say "send me an offer". That's an auction, not a sale. Put a price with it and I can decide if it's in my range or not, saves us both time. |

For the seller, I think it's easier to just post the picture in the thread. A lot easier than sending countless pictures by email.
