So I'm watching the first season for the first time since the 80s and I gotta say one question that keeps crossing my mind is how old are the Joes supossed to be. I see more receeding hairlines than I remember! More moustaches too!
Bazooka sounds like a mid 40s 2 pack a day smoker. |

Moustache was the style. Remember, the ARAH Joes grew out of Viet Nam so alot of that styling went into them.
I always figured the cartoon guys seemed on the older side, mid-30s.

I always figured them to be late thirties and in some cases early 40's. Maybe a couple could be early thirties / late 20's ... like Ace or Steeler ... but no way Spirit, Flint, Gung Ho, Duke, Leatherneck etc were south of 35.

I though I read somewhere that Duke was born in like 1949 or 1950, so that would put him in his mid to late 30s at the time of the cartoon.

I always assumed that most of the team were mid 30-s to mid 40's, since there were supposed to be the "best of the best" and it takes a while to prove ones self. Plus in the comic several of the team served together during the Vietnam War, which had only been over for about 8 years when RAH came out.

I agree, mid 30s upwards, apart from a few Joes.
