Serpentor is more of a dud baddie than CoCo and Sgt. Slaughter adds nothing to the Joe roster IMHO.
I guess at the time it was peak WWF/Hulkamania/WrestleMania/Slaughter frenzy and I wouldn't be surprised if 'honest Vince' paid for the inclusion of Slaughter as a Joe character for WWF promotion.
Then I'm about 10 episodes into the regular Season 2.
Most of the standard Joe vs Cobra + Drednoks episodes have been good but one very low point sticks out for me.
"Once upon a Joe" was total crap with the McGuffin Device and Shipwreck reading orphans bedtime stories.
I want my 22 minutes of viewing time back

But then I am 'refresh watching' a 30+ year old cartoon series created to advertise toy figures/vehicles to 10 year old boys.
Still enjoying it overall and Hasbro Youtube channel provides it all at no cost.
I'll keep watching until the end, no interest in soiling myself with DIC or anything after that.

I think I had a non-consecutive 12 out of the first 30 Hama/Marvel comic issues, so I'll make a start on my digital Joe compendium after this.
I don't really remember any of the storylines, so it will likely be new to me to read today.

Agreed, serpentor and slaughter were the scrappy doo of gi joe and killed season 2 for me. I actually didn?t mind once Upon a joe. Not the best but not the worst.
