You mean the actress from Retaliation? If so, I thought she was extremely generic. A serviceable actress, but not really distinct.

Lady Jaye always had a certain attitude to her, a spunkiness and scrappiness, which matched her look and even her voice.

The voice of Lady Jaye is very important. Mary McDonald-Lewis said that the Sunbow director thought her voice was perfect for the role, because as he said, it had a "grit" to it. Referring to the rasp and huskiness of her voice.

I'm sure there are plenty of attractive actresses out there, who have that style of voice. It's a key element.

Back to the subject of Renegades, I also really liked the portrayal of Mindbender. Actually I hated him, as an egotistical know-it-all evil genius teenager, but it was a case of "the man you love to hate".

The rivalry between Mindbender and Destro was great. Destro's annoyance at this uppity young brat Mindbender was palpable.

She was like a CW Denise Richards (without the figure). Awful! All of the actors who followed in Dwayne's shadow were awful. Flint was worse! It's like they pulled a few names from a web site and cashed in. Renegades has made me want to see a Hispanic actress portray LJ if ever there's another live action.

Charlie Schlatter was fantastic in that role! Clancy Brown was a great Destro, too, but Mindbender was instantaneously unlikable.

Yeah, I imagine that must have been intentional. Sort of merging Mindbender and Venom. I mean, Mindbender was kind of Venom 2.0 in a sense. In his role, at least.

Yeah, as I recall (it's been many years since I watched Renegades) Mindbender clashed with and irritated everyone in Cobra. Obviously he was an important asset to Cobra Commander, so he had an inherent protection within the organization, but Mindbender is the type of character who's comeuppance feels very satisfying, when it happens.
