What did everyone thought of GI Joe Extreme? Personally I loved GI Joe Extreme and its animation was on point for a 90s cartoon. It was cool to see a new villain faction called Skar led by Iron Klaw and the new heroic GI Joe Extreme team led by LT Stone.

Welcome to the Tank.
It's a fun series. I've watched it several times. Thankfully, they dropped those awful live-action segments in the second season. It's funny how they changed Ballistic's name to Eagle Eye without any explanation, though I can imagine it was due to increasing concern over gun culture. |

I liked the series. It was serialized, with a developing story and interesting characters. It would have been even better if it had obvious ties to RAH.

Ive always liked Extreme. The toon was always on on Sunday mornings so I would try to catch them as much as I could.
The comics were a little better, while the toon had some original characters like Tracker and Short Fuse (Not the RAH characters) and a new female named Tall Sally, there was a unknown Lt. and a Dr. Johansson that were tasked with putting together the team. I forget what thread we talked about it in, if it was an Extreme one or in the "What secrets in the Filecards" but had the comics continued, They were gonng bring in Duke, and the Lt. would have been fleshed out more. |

Extreme was interesting to me as an older Joe fan @ the time the figures weren?t very good . But the show had potential & was short lived , I would like to see a whole wave of extreme in classified form , that and sgt savage as well .. I’m glad other people besides myself want them and are talking about them ..

I was not a fan of the figures at all, but I remember having some interest in the characters in the comic. It was put out by Dark Horse I think? I should dig those out and read them again.

I remember seeing a sneak preview clip of the cartoon, at San Diego Comic Con in July 1995. It wasn't a big presentation hall or anything; they (Dark Horse, I believe) just had a small 9 inch TV on a table, with a 3 minute clip of the cartoon running on a loop.
It was MUTED the whole time, but myself and some random dude watched it and tried to name all the characters we saw. For instance, we thought Black Dragon was Snake-Eyes. So I felt a little hoodwinked when the cartoon came out, a few months later, and it had a completely new/different cast.

I wasn't a fan. I remember seeing it when it first came on and wondering who any of the characters were. None of the Joe regulars, no Cobra, it didn't even feel related to franchise in any way. I really only watched it because I was already watching like, X-Men and Spider-Man at the same time, haha.
And the toys were awful. Not even sure what they were going for with those. |

I was born in 85 and inherited a lot of ARAH Joes in addition to collecting my own with Ninja Force, Eco Warriors, etc. I was even into Sgt. Savage and his Screaming Eagles.
At 10 yrs old, GIJoe Extreme felt like a betrayal to me. The figures took a huge step back in articulation and all of the characters looked like they were designed by Rob Liefeld. I hated it. |
