Edit: Use Snake-Eyes as a narrator of the show. It wouldn't matter that he has no audible voice if the audience is privy to his internal voice.

That would be freaking brilliant right there! Having Snake eyes internally monolouging would add a little extra something. Of course having Hama involved would be great.

As far as what I would add...well everything has been pretty much said. I mean I would tone down Metal-Head a bit and have his tech come from Stark Industries like in the comic books. I'd still have him be a bit of a goof ball but not to the extent he was in the DIC series. Though I must admit he was one of the more memorable characters thanks to Gary Chalk's performance. I also would have him and Scrap Iron team up for an episode as they are both Anti-Tank specialist.

There are two things that I would've done to change the 1987 animated movie. The first is pretty simple. Just remove the couple or so lines that kept Duke alive. What was it just Scarlett's "he's gone into a coma" and Doc's "great news, Duke's come out of his coma"?

The second is Cobra Commander's origin. What I would've done is have him been a regular human. For some reason he stumbled upon Cobra LA. Perhaps in this version his accident with the spores was a defense because he was seen as a threat. Anyway, after the accident Golobulus took him in and trained him. He then released him back into the world to start Cobra.

That would make a lot more sense since how could a Cobra la citizen have survived in the human world.
