How did Cobra get out of Cobra la when the dome caved on them?
Why didn?t they use Golobulus in the series and happened to him and all those snake people?
How did Cobra Commander as a snake escape after dome fell?
Why wasn?t he allowed to get revenge on Golobulus and Cobra -la?
Would Cobra human survivors get along with Cobra-la survivors or would they fight them?

DIC was hand waving all that stuff. I don't even say you can watch GIJoe DIC regular season episodes and say Cobra Commander is a snake man under his battle armor or in season 2 of DIC in his Talking Battle Commanders outfit. Cobra Commander is just a regular human as far as I can tell. So, even DIC proper is different from DIC Dragonfire.

We've heard bits and pieces of what Sunbow had planned (Twins and Coil running Cobra as more crime based til Cobra Commander returns), but that's all about it. Serpentor was originally supposed to die in GIJoe the Movie if you read the script. So that'd have made the need for a leader more urgent.

Sometimes are you can do is say, what might of been. Connecting DIC to Sunbow is tough imo given the differences in characterization and production quality.

Had Sunbow went on, some Cobra La I think might of shown up as wildcards, but the only one we see get away in the movie is Golobulus (the opposite of Transformers the Movie where the minions of Unicron are unaccounted for while Unicron is defeated and destroyed).

I'd love to see Hasbro gather up as many of the old writers and voice actors as possible and make either a mini-series or a short season (10 or so episodes rather than 20+) to bridge the gap between Sunbow and DiC.

It was good when I was a kid, but Now That I?m older, I hope they let sunbow and dic stay dead man. Cobra La is silly. Cobra commander turning to snake is silly.

The old comics weren?t silly. Some of the newer comics although mostly bad weren?t as silly. But the shows . Movies , spin-offs are all that way. Silly goofiness.

In Sunbow and Dic , Destro was a punk and complainer, snake eyes was barely in it, cobra commander stayed taking L?s, the dreadnoks were the 3 stooges squared , no one got shot. Stormtrooper aim.
Just bad.

The only thing good to me were 5 year old mementoes and the voice actors who did a lot of transformers.

Extremely unpopular opinion, I?d like GI Joe to grow up. Not stay childish.
Which seems to me hasbo figured out kids nowadays ain?t in to Joes. It?s the fans who grew up with them that are buying them( or buying them to get their kids into joes) - hence the classfied series 1 fortnite esq design changes, partial updates, haslabs, you name it.

And now that writers are on a strike those dream might come true rather than the garbage we?ve been getting ie rise of cobra, snake eyes, or retaliation . Combined a 4/10.

So give me a new serious toned series , with the og voice actors , with consequences, that?s a show.

A Destro that is almost unbeatable as an Iron Grenadier / Warlord Strategist
A real fear driven Cobra commander. One that Storm Shadow, Zartan and Firefly all report too with sheer loyalty.
A battle driven squads of joes like Stalker , Hit &Run, Flint, or Shockwave to name a few. Other B list like countdown or salvo .

And for god sakes no fucking jokes. It?s been done to death. To death.

I like to think the Cobras who never appeared on Dic all died. Zarana was the only surviving pre-1988 Dreadnok. The leadership loss is how someone like Copperhead became a bigger player.

Cobra-La survivors were interned by some shady agency. Most died because it turned out they couldn't live long outside their symbiotic biotech society.

Bazooka, Alpine and Gung-Ho retired from active duty after their injuries at Nemesis Enforcer's hands. Duke took years to recover, which is why he's not in Dragonfire.

As a kid who mostly watched the cartoon and NEVER read the comics I find the line's obsession over Snake Eyes crazy. We all know Duke and Flint are the real heroes. And who needs pilots when everyone can pilot the planes!

I personally like for G.I. Joe to have a dose of silliness to it. Maybe not Cobra La levels of silliness, but I'm good with that guy running around in the high-collared open shirt sporting the medallion. With the mask that inexplicably acts as weird metal face that changes expressions and whatnot.

That's probably why I have a lot of fun with the DIC toons. I can't say that there's anything that I wish they did that they didn't, because it wasn't like we were missing on some cool new continuity development or anything. When characters like Flint popped up out of nowhere in DIC's second season, it was just treated like they'd been there the whole time. And were totally down with the environment, too.

The Movie was 100% handwaved in Dragonfire. Snake CC didn't even have the multi-eyes. But it's worth mentioning that they did reference the Falcon/Duke relationship in the Season 2 "Just Say No!" Episode.

Cobra Commander survived the cold of the Himalayas by hanging around with hot spring vipers and Hindu/Buddhist monks who think he is a wise snake god. He has many knowing eyes along with an orphaned Cobra - la child.
