Did you like it ? Were you satisfy with it or was it lacking in your opinion?

Are you posting from 1989?
It was lacking, both in animation quality and writing. Sunbow knew how to make the most use of characters while moving the story forward, as well making exciting action scenes even if we knew there was no real jeopardy. There's relatively few Joes with speaking parts. Only 3 of the Marauders talk, and Spirit for just one episode. I think the only other speaking roles are Scoop, Rock n Roll, Lady Jaye and Stalker. It's odd that mainline 1989 Joes like Snake-Eyes, Recoil don't appear at all. Might've been hard to work in Countdown and Deep Six. Cobra is more interesting. But for some reason the default trooper is the Night Viper, used in broad daylight! HEAT-Vipers don't appear at all. And while Destro and some IG stuff appears as part of Cobra, sadly no love for Darklon. Zarana and Gnawgahyde are the only dreadnoks. A chunk of Cobra's old high command are gone, so much that Copperhead is now leadership material! Python Patrol appears (except Python CG), then most of its personnel don't appear later, instead they have more Night Vipers manning Python Stuns. That said, at least it attempted to bridge the continuity with Sunbow. |

I've been wanting to re-watch this (haven't since the early-nineties), but it seems to be lost to time...

Personally I loved Dragon Fire. It was a bit campy, but awesome none the less. The characters were interesting, I liked the featuring of python patrol, and the featured vehicles were great. It probably wouldn't hold up today, but I would like to see it none the less. |

Same, Last time I saw it, it was on some YouTube channel in 240p. But that was a long long time ago.

Yep. Definitely better than the rest of the series. It wasn't great but it could have been much worse.
The Dic series is terrible even as a kid I hated it. Only thing it had going was the opening theme

If I remember correctly, Shout Factory recently announced they were going to discontinue the DIC G.I. Joe DVDs but I am having trouble finding the article. https://www.shoutfactory.com/product...s-2-season-one |

I watched all the DIC stuff as a kid and enjoyed it. In the last year, I've watched clips on YouTube for the DIC series but I couldn't bring myself to buy the DVDs. Even though I do like the "Got to Get Tough! Yo Joe!" theme song. |
