Where was Storm Shadow?
Hey man swords don't sharpen themselves you know. BUT in an attempt to actually explain the situation. Sunbow Stormy is pretty much like any Cobra specialist employed by Cobra. They hired him for his skills. Cobra Commander liked those skills. Frankly he's a good fit with CC's style. Surgical strikes from shadows. But as seen in various episodes Stormy could and often would see things from a more noble view (even though his dark side would win out in the end). We see Stormy less and less after Serpentor takes over. Which makes sense. Serpentor's command style is more of a blunt hammer than surgical strike. So I doubt Serpentor had much use for Storm Shadow. And Serpentor is a bit more abusive of his subordinates. So I would hazard to guess between nagging moral issues, the change in command staff and style, and declined use of Stormy, he probably spent most of Serpentor's reign debating if he should even stay. Post the movie...and lets face it Cobra was pretty well ass whooped. The Commander a snake. Globulus dying off camera. Serpentor having back a MAJOR losser in Cobra-La...and honestly endorsing genocide which was much different than Cobra's previous goal of simple world domination. I think he finally walked. Actually in the cartoon universe I always assumed A LOT of Cobra talent walked (or maybe died). I mean we never see guys like Zartan, or Scrap Iron, or Wild Weasel, or most of the Dreadnoks again. So for me its they either died or walked after Cobra decided genocide was acceptable. |

During the movie, would Storm Shadow have been able to stop Pythona during the Terrordrome breach?

No, because in the cartoon, he wasn't a powerful ninja. He got popped good in the Pyramid of Darkness by Quick Kick (although he handed QK's ass to him in a later episode called Excalibur.)

They decided to focus on characters that no one cares about, like Falcon and Serpentor. As for ninja food, the last few "real" ninja like Fujita Seiko and Toshitsugu Takamatsu liked to eat a wide variety of foods, especially foreign foods, so the body is accustomed to digesting different meats, fruits and vegetables.
But, the cautious ninja eats the same things regularly and knows the exact taste, so if he's poisoned, he'll know before swallowing! Or he has an unlucky food-taster... |

I read recently, probably not new news to most, that the original script of the Movie was a "World's Most Dangerous Man" story of a person who (I think) defected from Cobra and knew all the secrets of Cobra. So, both the Joes and Cobra went looking for him.
I would love to read that script or even the narrative. Even as a kid, G.I. Joe the Movie crapped out for me after the Opening "G.I. Joe - the Musical." The only redeeming value the Movie had for me was that the characters fired real weapons with shells ejecting from their rifles. Heck, I like the MASS Device story better than them all. In that mini-series they fire either lasers or real weapons, AND not everybody parachuted out of their vehicles. Watch MASS Device again, those two Cobra pilots hit the runway with no chance of escape! Jason |

Yeah after watching MASS Device it was weird to hear rifle sounds when they were firing the "Snowjob" rifles.

Storm Shadow knew better than to be in the movie. He called up his agent and was like, “What’s the bare minimum I’m obligated for? Just that one scene? I can live with that.”

Storm Shadow was in Serpentor's War Room then ducked out with Scrap Iron and Major Bludd when the alarms went off. Clever fellows. Live to fight another day.
