So after months of silence, constant speculation, and just wondering when G.I. Joe Resolute would premiere, or if it would even premiere, we got our wish this past week. As one of the most highly anticipated G.I. Joe series to debut this year, Resolute managed to surprise fans, turn some vocal anti-Snake Eyes fans into fans of Snake Eyes once again, increase the desire to see both Modern Era waves 14 & have fans craving more.
As the series progressed quickly, there were surprises at every turn. The saying "no one is safe" certainly rang true. The battle between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow was their most intense match ever shown in a G.I. Joe cartoon, whether your comparing it to Spytroops, Valor VS Venom or Sigma 6. Now that the series has concluded, our Poll Of the Week(POW) is: Did You Enjoy G.I. Joe Resolute? DISCUSS! |

No poll function yet? I enjoyed it, it had some great redesigns of characters. In fact, I'd say it exceeded my expectations, which weren't all that high, but still , it was better than I'd thought. The biggest downsides for me were the inability of Cobra to hit anything, and the lack of HAwk in charge. But still, good stuff.

I thought it was very nicely done. Here's hoping it continues like Clone Wars did (but with much better art). I'm also hoping to see more figures (and vehicles) on store shelves to support the line.

Very good modernization of the GI Joe animation we loved as kids. It wasn't perfect, but certainly well worth watching.

I loved it. I hope it did well enough to see an ongoing series kept on adult swim. Even if they are short like Robot Chicken episodes or something.

I felt the last part was rushed, but I enjoyed it thoroughly!

it was beautiful!...a fantastic update to much beloved classic...they managed to get everything right without being cheesy...the uniforms were great representations of the OGs and didn't look silly in the least...(why couldn't this be done with the movie?)...real sounding gun fire, wounds, death, believable drama...
the lows, slightly unrealistic ninja attacks, Cobra soldiers who are obviously crosseyed, an ending that seemed very rushed, cameos with no dialogue, and too few Cobra core characters... |
