Okay, this might sound extremely far-fetched, but hear me out. Despite 3 long years of silence, the show STILL hasn't been officially canceled. I'd completely given up on it just like the rest of you, but then I started talking to my mom, who's lived long enough to see many shows come and go, and she said that it's actually not uncommon for a show to be put on hold for years on end and then brought back, especially with cartoons. She reckons there's still a small glimmer of hope for more Renegades in 2015; if enough people watch it on Netflix, the popularity might just be enough to prompt them to bring it back.
I know, it's still probably not going to happen, but I'd like to propose a last-ditch attempt at getting Hasbro to notice us. If you want more Renegades, go through the series on Netflix one more time. Recommend it to a friend. Send Hasbro an angry email. Post fanart on other websites to help it gain more exposure. Anything and everything you can; it may seem hopeless but we have nothing to lose. Last edited by TheLastNinja; 01-28-2014 at 10:07 PM.. |

After three years, everybody on the show have moved on to new projects. It is a DEAD project.
Shows don't get "cancelled" anymore, they quietly fade away into reruns. I can't think of any "kids show" that was outright, unequivocally, publicly, cancelled. By the OP's logic, Thundercats (2011) still has a chance of coming back (which it doesn't) The ONLY shows (not-reality/game show based) that have ever used secondary popularity to come back from the kind of death Renegades is in have been Futurama and Family Guy. And Renegades very clearly hasn't garnered the acclaim or attention of those shows, or even among the fandom for that matter.

Renegades was great. So was the toy line. That would be a dream come true.

It was pretty fun. It was a little too slow burn with the new origins for the RAH hardcore, but it was fun for those with a little more flexibility in how they see the property. I think (and anyone feel free to correct me with ratings) it did ok, but was yanked for the movie. I posted this else where, but for it to have survived it needed someone at the Hub who championed it and would let it find it's legs. That person did not exist (or at least if they did they did not have the power to save the show).
I think we will see a Joe cartoon at some point. Hasbro would be silly not to try something to go hand in hand with GI Joe 3 (and I say this because this might be Joes last stand in the 25th/ROC/Retaliation/POC era) , but I bet if we see something it is much more in line with the movies. Renegades is dead. |

How great would this pipedream be if it came true?

Sigma 6 was a FAR superior vehicle in terms of "selling toys" (First season REALLY fell into a lot of anime tropes, but the second season was halfway decent and had some really cool elements). Renegades was the better "show" in terms of story, content and production values. I really do find both entertaining in their own ways.
