Honestly, Renegades was THE thing that got me into G.I. Joe. It'll be really sad if we let this slip away, but I really think we might have a shot at getting it back if we can make it blow up big by 2015. I've been thinking, if we spread it to the ends of the Internet, we might just be able to make the G.I. Joe fandom explode like what happened with My Little Pony. Maybe then, Cobra-- I mean, *cough, cough* --Hasbro will finally notice us!

Nope. I dont want renegades to come back but i do want a new Joe cartoon back on the air. Renegades is no longer a fresh idea and what we need is a new fresh idea for a joe cartoon. We need a cartoon that kids are going to watch yet one that will make us collectors happy

It took me about 3 episodes - hadn't watched any Joe cartoons for over 20 years - and wished they could have included a few more characters but I know it's all about character development these days - but I came to really enjoy Renegades and most of the figures. It's a shame...

But if Renegades had ANY chance of that kind of fandom/interest explosion like what happened with MLP, it would have happened in the 3 years, and well received live action film, since it first aired (or more likely, after the first well received live action film). MLP is an exception, but generally? The biggest interest surges most brands tend to get these days come from a successful live action film (Star Wars, Transformers, and Marvel can all attest to this). GI Joe has had TWO which haven't garnered HALF the market surge Marvel's properties (much less fellow in house property Transformers) got from their films. Not only that...the fandom remains QUITE divided on Renegades. You will never get enough long time fans to really raise the kind of fuss that would make Hasbro even look at Renegades again. At this point, Renegades is dead, though I'm confident a new cartoon will come...eventually.

Funny this thread was started --- I just began re-watching renegades yesterday. It was a decent cartoon. I do miss it. And I hate that Hasbro didn't really give it a chance. I would still be watching it today if they'd continued on, and I think it might've helped the brand somewhat. We have NOTHING now, and no product. I'll be mildly surprised if any Joe items get shown at the toy show in February, although I could honestly see it going either way.

how was renegades the thing that got you into gi joe? do you just mean what got you back into it or are you a youngin?
What they should have done was RESOLUTE. That series was awesome and reminded me a lot of the marvel stuff on now.

My Wife, who doesn't watch any cartoons, nor does she have any interest in the hobby, enjoyed Renegades. I point this out as to me, it was a good indicator how the "everyday person" would react to Renegades.
I would love to see it come back and although I support the Hub network, I don't believe it's the right vehicle for the show. Renegades is better off being picked up by a local network/networks and shown on Saturday mornings and/or during the "after school slot." Mind you, all this is under the assumption that we're going to get more renegades. There was a gentleman that was close to Renegades and even he thought there was going to be another season and even he turned out to be wrong. Quote:

I'm 17; not sure if that's what you meant by "yougin" or not. In any case, I was older than the show's target demographic from the beginning. If I recall, I saw a clip from it on the internet that got me curious enough to watch an episode.
