I think the idea here is more of a 'uniform' as opposed to every character having a completely unique look.
All the Joes in this series sport similar uniform characteristics. I think they all look great and I totally dig the similarity in design. Makes them look more like a team versus the ramshackle appearance they had in the Sunbow series.

You know, that also explains why Hasbro reuses parts. If your a Mars trooper or an IG, your going to have a similar uniform underneath the web gear.

So with that, a lot of us got the figures we always wanted: a uniform crew, not dressed like the village people, that have unique kits and loadouts, along with "personal" touches that make them who they are visually. It really is Gi Joe all grown up.

The GI Joes were so different back in the day to sell toys. A bright palette used in unique ways allows children to uniquely identify their favorite characters both on and off screen. Since resolute was designed from the ground up to be simply an entertainment platform, the figures became secondary.
So with that, a lot of us got the figures we always wanted: a uniform crew, not dressed like the village people, that have unique kits and loadouts, along with "personal" touches that make them who they are visually. It really is Gi Joe all grown up. I think Hasbro was well aware of this when they did the new modern era and movie lines. |

I'm actually going to watch it sometime this weekend. I just haven't had the time. I have to go to the movies with my baby cousin in the morning and when she's watching "Zack and Cody on the Boat" I can watch it.
I can't believe they killed him off though. He had so much potential in that series. Last edited by Zoltron; 04-25-2009 at 03:44 AM.. |

I think hasbro did a poor job of capturing the authentic look of thes characters. maybe they will correct if show gets a series. but the lack of bulkiness and accuarcay is really bad, but its all we have

Agreed. Some of the leaked Resolute figures don't even remotely look like their Resolute movie counterpart. I guess it's up to the customizers to fill in the void.
