i dont give adamn what anyone says, there is nothing to pick at in this cartoon. It's been over a decade since Gijoe has been on tv and for their first crack at it, they hit this thing outta the park. I wont collect anything but GIJOE resolute from here on out

I think Hasbro opened up Pandora's Box. People are going to expect this continue and it may just be way to much "Adult" for Hasbro to market to kids. I think that's a lame excuse but that's the angle they will use to explain it to us.
I'm just glad we got this far and hope they keep throwing Resolute figures in the new waves after the movie toys are done. |

I'm not sure if the fanbase alone (as it stands now) would be able to fund more adult animated movies like this. If they tried to expand the adult fanbase however... |

Ok, episode 3 was not boring. It was good to see all the Joes back in action. GI Joes actually being intelligent!? ZOMG it's more than LASER GUN PEW PEW PEW.

I only had one issue, that Scarlett seemed to perfer Duke to Snake Eyes. I was never a fan of that, and hopefully that will change in the comming episodes.
We shall see. Otherwise perfect. |

If hasbro is so worried about adult orieinted material then why in the hell are they dumping a shitload of money into a movie and probable sequels. Dont tell me this movie is aimed at kids cuz none of my kids will be going to see it unsupervised. At the least Hasbro would be wise to make resolute a seasonal thing...season 1-April-July( 60..5 minute episode...3 times a week...perhpas a winter special( 30 episodes) then back into spring. That gives them plenty of time to devleop storylines, etc and then there wont be as much pressure on getting toys out there. They get a few toys made every sesaon, they;ll make what they need no doubt without the worry of overproducing. To totally disregard the adult fanbase that's established and consequently would come out of this show, I think an unwise assmption for Hasbro.

True, might be a direct-to-DVD thing like those animated Marvel movies, but that'd be fine with me. When was the last time Joe fans reacted so positively to a Joe franchise as consistently as people seem to be reacting to Resolute? I remember all the bitching and complaining when the 25th line debuted: "No O-Rings, not ARAH, characters look too anime, etc." Remember the original "Clone Wars," the five-minute animated segments? Star Wars fans went berserk over those. They all said (myself included) they were better than the prequels had been. They started out not investing a lot in those segments, but now there's a popular weekly animated series based on that premise. I could see the same thing happening with Resolute. True, they might tone down some of the morbid violence (characters lying in pools of blood, etc.) but the content would not be significantly altered. I'm excited! I haven't been this excited about a GIJOE property since the debut of the 25th stuff, and frankly I've never been this excited about a Joe animated-or-live dramatic production. Duke's voice is Steve Blum I am almost sure of it. He did several Anime voice overs most notably Cowboy Bebop. I hate to say it but I kinda like Duke now.... I always hated him and the Joes....bah I can't believe what I am typing..... LOLZ.
