ok who hope G.I. Joe Resolute cartoon dose well to have them make more eps. it would be nice to see a good cartoon backing up the toys agin. we have not had a good one since the 80s. i think if it dose well joes will do even better.
i think that is one reason hasbro realy dosent care about joes that much anymore. they dont have the fan base like TF or SW. witch have had some kind of tv/movie to back them. to keep ppl involved in the toys. hasbro killed S6 with the size and cartoon. VvV had a wacked movie. Last edited by xhairs; 04-09-2009 at 03:05 PM.. |

If it's good and they make a Resolute line of figures.
Would be kind of silly to have Modern Era figures without the Resolute packaging, movie figures and a cartoon called Resolute. Would be confusing for someone that gets into the line from watching the show.

I'll say it right now, Resolute, in its' present form, is not going to get picked up to be an ongoing series. It's getting buried in a lousy timeslot and won't gain much traction with the all-important kids' market.
I'm sure it'll be a big hit with the older fans (myself included) but we're not enough to make it a "big hit" in a general sense. What I would like to see is to have them take the same designs and the same animation studio and make a more kid-friendly Resolute cartoon that could show during normal viewing hours. Kid friendly...but not "adult stupid"...and yes, that can be done. That would be the best way to give Resolute a chance to gain a real foothold and continue it as part of the franchise, as opposed to a nearly stillborn one-shot. |

Can anyone confirm this? The word was it will be airing on adult swim.... but when they announced this show, it was 10 5 minute episodes or something like to that nature. With only an hour's worth of animation completed, as we have not heard otherwise, how would this be made into a series? Plus this is what the wiki article reads:
G.I. Joe: Resolute is an animated series based on the G.I. Joe franchise, written by Warren Ellis and produced by Sam Register.[1] The series will be released online as ten 5-minute episodes and one 10-minute final episode. These episodes will then form an hour-long movie. The movie is scheduled for broadcast on Adult Swim on April 25, 2009. It will be directed by Joaquim Dos Santos.[2] I know some peeps hate wiki and I am cool with that. I am just saying is all.

It is on the evening of April 25th. 12:00Am eastern time. It will air as an hour and a half long thing. All the episodes strung together. It was probably just easier this way rather than try and make room in between programs after the kiddies have gone to sleep. Adult swim schedules things pretty close. The extra half hour is for commercials.
That is the entire series, front to back. We will have to see how it plays out to discover if they can do more, but i would seriously doubt resolute coming back in anything other than the same format. Hasbro's goal is to net a new audience, not shine the poles of the old one. I'm sure with the release of the new film an animation suitable for children will follow suit within a year. So chin up.
