It is on the evening of April 25th. 12:00Am eastern time. It will air as an hour and a half long thing. All the episodes strung together. It was probably just easier this way rather than try and make room in between programs after the kiddies have gone to sleep. Adult swim schedules things pretty close. The extra half hour is for commercials.
That is the entire series, front to back. We will have to see how it plays out to discover if they can do more, but i would seriously doubt resolute coming back in anything other than the same format. Hasbro's goal is to net a new audience, not shine the poles of the old one. I'm sure with the release of the new film an animation suitable for children will follow suit within a year. So chin up.

Yeah i totally agree. This is GI Joe the way I've wanted it for a long time now. Even as a kid i would have preferred it this way. There is a certain charm about the old show, but it is beyond a dated and a slave to it's time.

I'd say the the scheduled airing precludes any hope of success for this show. It's a throwaway time slot. We fans will watch, or TiVo it, but there's no chance to win a whole new audience this way. It kinda sucks.

I'll say it right now, Resolute, in its' present form, is not going to get picked up to be an ongoing series. It's getting buried in a lousy timeslot and won't gain much traction with the all-important kids' market.
I'm sure it'll be a big hit with the older fans (myself included) but we're not enough to make it a "big hit" in a general sense. Hell a lot of my friends who grew up with G.I. Joe didn't even know about it until I told them. The way to capture the casual audience is by advertising and so far we have seen absolutely nothing. So hopefully this is change before, and after the movie. |

Resolute can work well it just needs to be advertised much, much more. Advertising has been a weak point for G.I. Joe, it may have been one of the reasons that the 2002 relaunch and "new sculpt" line died in 2005. Yes there was advertising but not even close to what it could have been. |
