Not sure if this has already been discussed, but - has there been an explanation as to why Resolute will be so short (1 hour in length)? It doesn't seem like a decent story could be put together in such a short amount of time, and in such small episode increments (5 min.). Do you think this is more of an experiment to test the waters, and if it does well, there could be a future extension? Just trying to understand the point of all this. I hope it's more than just pointless action sequences (I do like mindless action, but still...).

Hopefully they are testing the waters and it goes over well for Hasbro. It costs millions in advirtising and development to get this stuff to market. Also understand, it is all designed to promote the new toys so we all better hope they sell.
Free market economy. If Joe doesn't sell like we all hope it will, Hasbro will start working on the My Little Pony movie. We don't want that now do we?

there are many great hour long tv shows that tell great stories in that time (which is actually about 42 minutes after commercial breaks), so I am not sure why Resolute can't tell a great story in a full 60 minute period.

This reminds me of those short minute episodes of Aeon Flux a couple years ago on MTV
