I'm really warming up to the unmasked Storm Shadow head and want to make my own mask for him so I can take it off/put it on as I choose without leaving the head in the display case.
Any ideas are appreciated! |

There's a manufacturer who makes all sorts of different balaclava's. There was recently a review of some of them on OSW. I know they are making black, OD, and khaki. I seem to remember someone talking about white, but don't quote me. I believe Wild Toys was the company who was putting them out.
Edited to add: I just double checked the site, which is ACI toys. They don't have a white bala that I can see. There are some pretty amazing customizers over on OSW. I know someone did a quick tutorial on how to make winter style hats not too far back. Maybe someone over there knows how to do a bala, or could possibly do one on commission. I think with all the MW2 buzz on the 1:6 modern boards white bala's can't be too far off. They'd be great for doing arctic troops.

No problem. Here's a link to the page. Not sure, but one of the khaki numbers bleached "might" work. I'm not sure if I'd be brave enough to try it though.

Could you get a square of thin white fabric and follow the fairly simple steps to folding and tying into a mask, but just scaled down? It may not have his trademark smooth shape, but it may look kind of realistic.
I think its pretty simple anyway. The Nintendo Power issue with Ninja Gaiden 2 told me it was easy to make my own real ninja hood, but I sucked at following the directions. |

There's a bunch of ideas on youtube, from a traditional wrap to using a t-shirt.
Should be able to translate to 1/6 scale. |
