Sometimes I think people base their knowledge on anatomy from reading comic books. Sideshow's Cobra Commander looks like an actual person under the suit, not He-Man.

I try to go by the saying "if you don't have anything constructive to add or say, then don't".
You are entitled to your opinion, its what your opinions first were based off that I found very silly. There are a gazillion versions of Snake Eyes out there, they tried to find some middle ground, he doesn't float your boat, I get that, but you have to realize that they probably aim for the collectors that already go for the sideshow stuff (scale wise and sideshow itself). Most people that I know of that are into that love them. My thoughts around this is simply this: This IS a discussion forum, the way you posted is set in a way that will get you reactions (which you did), I'm pretty sure that you are smart and grown up enough to see exactly that. Back to discussing part - you are entitled to your opinions, so are others - I think (maybe?) what you wanted to put out there is what your ideal version of the characters would be. So what could be better on the various characters? What would you fix? Chances are you can make a custom yourself using various parts and kits. |

I don't really see the difference between My LIttle Pony customs and GI JOE customs, or between the people on the My Little Pony forum or hisstank. Both groups are passionate about child's toys from the 80's and express that passion through customizing characters from their respective properties. Long discussions are had on each about events in the mythos of the properties and new and upcoming events. With my addiction to little plastic men, I long ago quit dumping on other's hobbies. While I may not like a property (ie My Little Pony, Halo, ROTF), it comes down to the fact that the hobbies are really not that different. Whether it be a SW, thundercats, GI JOE, My LIttle Pony or Strawberry Shortcake forum, its fundamentally the same.

I agree, I just found it weird that My Little Pony had a customs forum. I just didn't imagine the property would be one that it's fans make customs of.

I figure if he don't like it, get out some needle and thread and sew up some sandex pants for ol' Snake Eyes! Don't forget the speedo!

Until you post some visual comparisons referencing anatomical head/body proportions I remain unconvinced. Head looks normal to me.
Sometimes I think people base their knowledge on anatomy from reading comic books. Sideshow's Cobra Commander looks like an actual person under the suit, not He-Man. Their recent Lando figure is an obvious example. Just look him up. My problem with the Cobra commander figure is that the head LOOKS over sized. They decided to go with a Prometheus body type, though very poseable, makes the figure look very skinny. Same problem with Snake Eyes. Pair that up with loads of gear on his lower body and Snake eyes ends up looking imbalanced. Its the lack of prominent shoulders that really brings out the melon headedness of Cobra Commander. They tried to fix this problem with a coat with big shoulders. and because they've stripped the figure of any fantasy elements...we'll probably never get one with the battle helmet.
