I've been thinking about this myself as well... and now that I got a job where I could actually afford it... hmmm... lol
Probably depend on what kind of space I have to display them. |

To me the best gifts are things I want, but wouldn't buy myself. SO...I say alert your family like you said and see what works out.

The more and more I see of the Sideshow Figures, the more I want them. That Firefly looks awesome and the news that Shockwave is on the way is even better. But, of course, the price point is the issue for me. I spend a lot on the regular lines (25th and ROC) and if I add these to the mix, I would be hurting and would have to probably give up other lines I collect. If I got just one, I would probably have to get the rest being the completist I am at times. That would be both good and bad.

The hooded cobra commander looked nice. He was the first one that i'd of liked to have. If they made a nice battle armor or a normal helmeted one and the helmet looked cool. But yeah really just too much to pay.

I just got my first Sideshow figure (Cobra Commander) as a birthday present from my wife and I just love it! It has been said before but it is true, they are the ultimate GI Joe figures. I would love to get more.

Say no to dru... err I mean Collecting.... Remmber all of those DARE and M.A.D.D. comercials and the joe informercials? Head thier wisdom! Stay away! Board up your home and never come out again! Or seek medical attention for toy addicition. I am writing a book about all of the stress/money woes it has caused me and Dr. Phil is going to promote it nationwide to help people like you stay off the additicion! Find a loving family/wife/girlfriend have lots of children and do peace work to save people....find a better choice to spend money on then the likes of us toy collectors! I emplore you! DON'T DO EEET! |

The only SideShow I have is the Hogan's Heroes set. They are pretty sweet, but I got them for a good price. If I could afford them, I'd probably buy them, but I can't so thankfully I'm forced to be more frugal. They're a little overpriced, but many collectibles are these days. In the end, I might pick out one or two and that's it. Money spent on one of the 12" dolls could buy me a lot 4" scale stuff.
