sigh , sideshow wins again!! just ordered one for myself and brother. i wasnt going to but damn these just look to awesome. i stopped buying the 3 3/4 figures once the 25th line was dead so im saving a bunch of money to put towards sideshow
dont have to be a millionaire for these figs.. just where your priorities lie thats all.. good thing with the sideshow stuff is they offer the pre-order pretty far in advance of the acutal release date so every pay check i take out 20 - 25 bux and put it in my sideshow enevelope, and i dont mind paying the extra cash for good quality.

These figures have 30 points of articulation. With that many points of articulation, how is new figure going to be different that what's already out there?
I'm the first to admit, Sideshow is vastly overpriced, (especially C.C.'s throne.) unfortunately they get away with it because the product is hot. My only complaint is that since Sideshow is charging so much for the figure, is the COBRA ensign should be an actual patch. Say what you will about the COBRA sniper, that figure is a better dollar value than DC Direct's Wonder Woman will ever be. |

i wonder how much they had to pay for the licensing from hasbro , probably explains the high price tag
like another member said , hasbro can keep all the crap RoC paint app's sideshow will get my money i for one prefer 12" figures and buy alot from sideshow bc i like the quality .. people will like what they like , and people will hate what they hate

These Sideshow figures are extremely expensive but they look so cool! My kids and I just sit there and look at them on display. I see that glassy-eyed look in their eyes and think that if my dad had some of these back in the day when I was a little GI Joe collecting machine (still am), I probably would have died and gone to heaven. Thus, in my case, the kids and I enjoy hours of fun putting these deluxe figures on display and occasionally we might even include them among our play figures (read that as, careful kids or daddy will kick your butt).
When I was a kid, I'd save every penny and gladly blow it at the local stores on Joes... Now you can't buy them all but the kid in me can't pass up these sideshow beauties either. I'll let you grown-ups debate the ethical dilemma of Sideshow's exorbitant pricing, but consider this: Would Duke let mere money stand in the way of recruiting a deluxe Joe team member from Sideshow? Would Cobra Commander let mere financial obstacles impede his plans to own as many awesome figures? What does the kid in you say? All I can see is my children (and myslef) all goggley-eyed and smiled every time one of these cash cows comes in the mail. (As for you negative nay-sayer types: Good grief, I am beginning to wonder if some of the wives/girl-friends of the hopelessly addicted collectors are writing some of the stuff on these forums)! Yo Joe - The kid in me is signed up to get one! |

It's definitely a different head sculpt. I have the Trooper and his eyes suggest he's about to go on a PCP induced killing spree. Whereas the sniper has a calm, albeit nefarious look in his eyes.

I think these things are awesome. The Crimson Cobra Commander, Cobra Trooper, and Sniper are just killer, and I'd love to own them. However, they are just plain overpriced.
