Indeed. I was talking to a friend last night about this very topic. Both are truly stunning pieces. Both Cobra Commander versions (classic Blue and Crimson) look menacing in that throne...but for a total of $320 before tax & shipping... |

LOL that will be some time off but if there is any chance I can I will in the 4th quarter. I am trying to think of an awesome case to display it in when I get it. Will Have the Officer and 2 Cobra Troopers by that time as well to stand next to him (omg my bank account will hate me but at least it is spanned out over several months...). Think I will just get a second IKEA Detolf and Some various colored lights to add a Grand Cobra Throne Room Hall Effect on the top shelf. And need to come up with a way to make some really nice 12inch scale Cobra Standards with flags/sigils to line the throne, carpeted walk way up to him...like th eons that came with the Spytroops Crimson Procession.
That will be epic... $320 is not bad for them, given the Joeconn set was $350...I decided to go with these instead of the CST set...

I think the throne looks cool but I have to agree with my wife. Her first reaction to the price..."You've got to be kidding me."
To put this in perspective, the leather chair I'm sitting in while typing this post cost about the same. The price gives reason to pause on preordering this item. I really can't see paying more for an environment piece than the actualy doll that sits in it.

I preordered both because I am apparently a glutton for financial punishment.
Now I just need that sweet Crimson CC. Any clues as to what the Sideshow Exclusive Duke may have? |

I want this set BUT the price....wow.
The Duke on the other hand will be mine! I plan to pass on the standard version in hopes that the exclusive will be reasonable. |
