Our friends over at Patches of Pride have posted up a fantastic read regarding the future of 12" G.I.Joe. You can check it out here:

Yep, and I am glad to see 12ers stay alive in some way. I LOVE 12 inch Joes, to me they are the most iconic toy in the world, really the Barbie equivalent for boys. I have played with and casually collected 12ers since I was small and have always wanted to back into it as my main focus. Its just that ME 4 inchers have been so good for so long that I had to scale back my 12er activity, plus space is an issue. But with the last few 4 inch characters I was missing coming in trades and Hasbro relegating ARAH to the club, I may find myself soon in a position to start getting and playing with 12ers again and I would really enjoy it. Glad there is news on them.

I agree, the Lost Talkers thing is VERY cool. I really have no interest in 12" Joes, but I am very happy that those who do will have something to look forward to.

I agree with you. That sounds really amazing and Dr. Isotope looks awesome. He, and the Man Of Evil from a couple years ago, are spectacular additions to the mythos and 12-inch line.

I'll wait and see. If he's not continuing in the style of Sideshow then I'm not interested at all.

12 inch Joes are the most easily customizable Joes. While I do not collect a lot of 12 inch, I do like them, and like to make 12 inch versions of ARAH characters. I talked to a few 12 inch collectors at Joecon and they are just as passionate about the hobby as we are. I think it is great that they were able to have a private audience with Brian. He is usually moving at a very fast pace at con so the fact he took an unscheduled half hour of his day to talk Joe with his fellow 12 inch collectors was notable. He might be disappointed or maybe elated, to hear that there was still a parachute drop this year. It was also informative to learn about a couple of the requirements for a con location.

I hope they the club continues with the adventure time, they are my favorite. I do like joe vs cobra but really don't know much about the characters.

Not to say the Club hasn't done stuff in the past (the proto-Cobra Trooper was nice, and the Crimson Guard was about as good as you can get without paying Sideshow prices), but with the "core" 12" collector aging/dying off, I think the Club is going to pay more focus on their wants at this stage.
