I think this particular large price increase is risky. Sideshow, or any other business, can push the price so far before collectors walk away in droves.
For me im taking a pass. This is not something i cant live without, and for the price i can buy a whole case of wave 3.5 and have a bunch left over. I think everyone makes a similiar decision for what they are comfortable with. Be interesting to see how sales work out. Buzzetta, yes, this thread DOES include some JUSTIFIABLE mini-rants over the issue of Sideshow jacking their prices up so quickly. Literally DOUBLING the price in just 4 years? That's not cool! But you have clearly missed the MAIN point of this topic, which is to SHARE pricing info from various retailers to help collectors of these figures get the best deal possible on these figures. I'm sorry that you feel the need to come to Sideshow's defense on this and post rants of your own, when you could have instead made informative posts that ADD to the discussion in a PRODUCTIVE way. If you've either sold their figures as a dealer, or bought them for your collection, you've seen the ridiculous inflation in the price first-hand. No other manufacturer of this kind of collectible has inflated their prices so much, so quickly, that I'm aware of. I honestly don't know how you can defend them on this, especially when you combine their rapid price inflation with their Draconian price-fixing policies. However, you've also proven my point in regards to the "Buy It Now or Best Offer" pricing. YOU respond to a Best Offer in the appropriate way, by replying with either a counter offer, or a polite decline. I'm also guessing you would be gentlemanly enough to offer an explanation as to why you can't honor that Best Offer. That's all I was looking for from the seller in question. Instead, I got bupkus. No counter offer, no explanation, nothing. That's why I chose to recommend that collectors buy elsewhere. Not only would they get a better deal, but they'd also get better Customer Service. And with that, I've said all I have to say to you on this matter. If you continue to miss the point after this post, that's your own problem. I do, however, wish you well with both your WTB list and your future ventures on eBay. I will even take a look at your WTB list in case I can give you any leads on where to find what you're looking for.

EDIT: Please disregard the post that was previously in this spot, the dealer in question simply made a mistake and has corrected it.

I will even take a look at your WTB list in case I can give you any leads on where to find what you're looking for. However when it comes to eBay, I myself have not bothered to respond to rude messages or lowball offers. (I am not implying that you left a rude message. When it comes to rude messages or those that I consider "entitlement" messages, I do not even bother responding. I have received a message along with an offer telling me that I should take their offer as it is the best I will receive or that I am 'lucky' that someone is even offering 'x' amount. Really? I ignore those even if it is a fair offer on principle alone. If an offer is too lowball I also ignore it. I offered a $800 piece of art a couple of years ago for $1000 with a best offer. I would have accepted something around $650-700 for it. I received an offer for $100 telling me that it was the best I would receive and I was lucky to even receive that. I simply declined with a counteroffer of $700. The guy launched into a tirade regarding his belief of my religious and political affiliations because I live in the NYC area. This guy simply decided that your offer was too low and didn't want to respond. Having been on the receiving end of some pretty strange eBay craziness. I try to play Devil's Advocate in see both sides. On that note... fair is fair... if I jumped the gun and said something I should not in regards to blocking your eBay account to try and be a forum smartass then I would like to take that back. As far as my sales thread. My money is green and I welcome anybody to help me rebuild my Joe's. I picked up another copy of AF15 last year and sold off even more stuff across the internet to put a dent in the bill for that comic. Regards -Buzz |

So glad I ditched all of my figures over 2 years ago. This is just ridiculous!! I remember when they were $99 for the normal version.
Sideshow will never get anymore of my money..
