Just wondering who on here collects the 12 inch Sideshow Collectibles? I think the detail on them is amazing but they are
very pricey, well for me at least...but I was curious who actually does shell out the dough to collect these?

I used to have all of about the first 12 Star Wars figures, but I started running out room and started focusing more on 1/18 figures(Star Wars, GI Joe, Indiana Jones, Marvel Universe,etc..), so I sold them all to BBTS. But I do have the new Snake Eyes and have Storm Shadow on preorder.

For the 12 figures I had, I was offered store credit of $563 or cash of $475. I took the cash.

Yeah, BBTS was real cool to deal with. Emailed them what I had, they emailed back their offer and I took it. Sent my items in, they checked them over and about a week later got my check in the mail. They offered to pay through paypal, but I didn't wanna pay the paypal fees, so I told'em to send me a check.

I do, but I haven't gotten any of the Joe figures. I'll probably pick up a Duke once he's made, but that's about it. They have certainly gotten more pricey than they used to be (around $35 average) But I guess it's just a sign of the times.
Sideshow kicks all sorts of ass in their 1/6 scale department. I have over 20 of them (Star Wars and LOTR mostly) and will continue to buy em in the forseeable future.

I just started getting into them last year, but I've got a few now--Bespin Han, Bespin Luke, Indy, 2 Jasons, Freddy, Mike Myers, Connor Mcleod, Frankenstein.
I got most of them for pretty fair prices/trades. Honestly, they are getting a bit too pricey for me, though. If I can get Hot Toys figures for near the same price as Sideshow, I'm gonna pick Hot Toys the vast majority of the time. The Joe and Star Wars licenses are the only thing it has over HT. I'll pick up a couple of the Joes, and Boba Fett (whenever he comes out), but that will probably be about it. |

I figure I have close to 30 SS figures. Mostly Star Wars and now the first Joe figure.

I don't even have one yet, but the more I look at them they're growing on me and I'm starting to think I should get Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow eventually
