WOW. I just saw pics of the figure with the V1 Commando head on and WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?! To me it actually looks worse than the early shots!
Someone said it looks like a Duros from Star Wars and after laughing I STILL AGREE! |

Here's a weird question coming from a relative SSC newbie... I have about ten Sideshow Joe figures. The Crimson Guard is the first one I got that has the strange rubbery knees. Every other figure I have can stand in different poses on my shelf without resorting to the included stand (It is what it is, but I *hate* having to use stands when displaying figures...), but the CG plunges to his doom off of the shelf regularly.
Does anyone know if this Snake Eyes has the nearly unposeable rubbery knees? I would like to know before I open mine as that would make me return him without even opening him. I know others don't like him for many other reasons, but that would be the straw that broke the commando's back for me. |

Yeah I want to find that ACI sweater, but its sold out in the few places I could find that carried it...even on eBay it didnt show up.
The more I see him I feel like I am jsut getting him for Timber, and the other head, and maybe a couple of accessories. I'll still be selling my other 1st edition Snake Eyes minus his sword and swap what i like and dont like.

The "rubber" knees allow for more flexibility but sometimes get loose, as the arms and shoulders tend to do.

Shin, I read that same post on Sideshow Freaks and laughed...his forehead is a bit elongated to say the least. I'm just hoping its cause he is all black that the camera shots don't do him justice. We shall see when he arrives...next year for me.

If anyone is looking for possibly better price for Snake Eyes and maybe hasnt ordered him yet... I was just crusing around on the ole internet and saw SE & Timber for $183 plus shipping. I put in my info just to see the total and it came to $197. Not sure if that is helpful but jst in case I thought I would pass it along.

Just got shipping notice for delivery on the 12th. Looks like they switched from UPS to FedEx, too.

The box is not like the usual glossy type boxes we're used to. The feel of it is more like the Hot Toys Mark III inner box cardboard (not the hard outer box). It does have the magnets to close the flap. This package as a whole was heavy! Also, it did not come packed with the top and bottom foam innards. It was just the SE box within the shipping box and it was surrounded with bubblewrap.
Timber is quite heavy, and while he does have a lot of articulation points, the placement of them makes his poses very limited. Don't really like the visor portrait. Sorry, I had the purse backwards. Timber is huge too. He almost takes up the other half of the box!

Nice pics, the googles leave a bit to be desired but I've always liked that version of Snake eyes so I'll try to find a different set of goggles that fit better...hopefully
