I plan on getting some of the newer ones myself. Especially the Baroness. Quite possibly Major Blood. As far as already released. Hawk, Zartan, Stalker, Crimson Guardsman and maybe Flint. Though he and Duke arent getting glowing reviews. The others I have either upgrade my Hall of Fame versions or satisfied with what I've customized from Hasbro releases. I would grab Snake Eyes v1, Storm Shadow and Firefly but they are very pricey on the secondary market. The only reason I'm thinking about v2 though is the articulated Timber. If I could get him separately I would love it. Right now If I can customize him, v2 will be a pass. Anyway my suggestion would be to look carefully at the ones that you think are worth the investment. That's what I'm doing. Because with a few mods, some minor paints and new accessories, the Hasbro releases can look cool on the shelf with SS too. They are all Joes and action figures after all.

I have yet to be disappointed with a figure once I have him in hand, but I also dont get every figure they do. I passed on Ninja Viper, Desert trooper, and desert sniper, I had the regular sniper but i eventually traded him.
That being said I am still looking forward to Snake Eyes then going to let my other SS SE go once I get this one in hand.

Nice review. I'm still not sure about the sweater but the figure looks awesome and I'm excited to pick him up.

I'm liking him more and more now...goggles are bigger and the sweater is growing on me. Loving all the gear the Molle system. The only thing that is disappointing and shot up the price was Timber. Would have preferred him non-molded with real fur and his articulation underneath a cloth skin.

Just found another review and like to share with you guys.
Snake Eyes It was mentioned that Timber's body is a bit overweighted and its legs cannot stand firm even the joints are tight. I'm not a 12" fan, but I have the version 1 SE & SS, I'm gonna buy this new version for Timber. When version 2 was announced in March, the figure really didn't impress me, what I was interested in was Timber. I also collect Mattel MOTUC, I found its design is quite similar to Battle Cat. Well, it would be great if Sideshow could make Timber has a removable jaw. I'd say this is not the best SE I expect as I really not like the sweater, knee pads and without his katana. But I will still take it. |

I'm waiting on him so I can just replace his sweater with a black commando version and knee pads I plan on getting off of ebay. For the price they charge that should've been a no brainer.
