Hi there. I saw an old post from Issue #5 in the "re-read Marvel" thread. The face of Snake-Eyes from way later in the series was described to you as "before surgery." While it is true that the face you see is before surgery, that's misleading. This image is the only time we clearly see his damaged face, but it is after dozens of surgeries, and just prior to the one massive final surgery to make him look normal again. In the earliest issues, his face is way worse and we don't get to see it that way, but it scares people and makes them sick, and we see him (in the flashback of the actual injury) with his face fully on fire.
