thanks! x-man was a bit tougher than cyclops. now that i know some of your tips and tricks i might try to repaint some areas to smooth them out and get him looking a bit less shiny.
Hey! Just saw your X-Man custom! He looks fantastic! I need a grunting facial expression like that for a custom and it never occurred to me to use the Human Torch head. Great job overall- he looks like he was a lot of work.
NO! No water! It's not a wash- you just rub the dry powder on and blow away the excess. The color is concentrated and it will will softly color the surface. If you get this wet at all you will screw it up big time. When you do it for the first time you'll understand and you'll get the hang of it in no time. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
oh i just found the link to it, and read the whole thing. thanks for sharing all of those techniques, i will put them to use for sure. i have one question, the powder you use for shading i got a little confused for some reason, but you just water it down a bit and apply it? or you do it while the powder is still very dry?
Hey! Thanks for the kudos on Herc. I'm glad you liked him. He was a lot of fun to do! I hope you checked out the painting tutorial on my blog- Herc was the subject.
