Some interesting things come out of it.
New character in Snake-Eyes is one of the candidates and Storm Shadow doesn't work directly for Cobra but one of their agents, another candidate.

Wow, that was quite a read there. Just reading this, I am really looking toward the Cobra Civil War and where Joe goes from there when we get the new Cobra Commander.

Oda Satori? Is that the guy who was in bed when SS contacted him a few issues back? Am I remembering that scene correctly?

I don't like the idea of a bunch of Joes getting knocked off before we've had a chance to get toknow them. But as far as I'm concerned, the real canon died towards teh end of teh Marvek series, so even if my fave Joes die, I expect they will stay around in other storylines, or get resurrected in new ones. Hopefully this new series will make it clear that th Joes aren't immortal, and maybe we'll get a more adult take on them.
Also, whenever they sick of the SE book, it would be interesting if they killed him off too. |

I dunno, I feel like the point of killing Joes is lost if they are Joes we don't really care about. Having Low Light get killed in a sniper duel with say Major Bludd; or maybe seeing Gung-Ho or Outback get run over by a Hiss Tank - those are the kinds of shocking moments that would really have us readers hanging onto the story by the endge of our teeth. I remember in the DDW series, a bunch of Joes were killed very quickly but with little back story, and I thought that was disappointing.
The Marvel series rarely killed off Joes, but when it did happen, as in around issues 109-113 it was done well. I'd also beinterested in perhaps some more major Cobras being taken out. Perhaps Firefly could make a fatal mistake and get himself blown up by Tripwire - or even by one of his own bombs. Last edited by Stormgard; 02-07-2011 at 03:17 PM.. |

Grand Slam was killed. Jinx was killed. Bazooka was killed.
There will be a mix. It won't be headliner guys, but more likely guys like Flash, Skidmark, Grid-Iron, etc..
