I bought Watchmen, Siege Dark Avengers and The Flash Rebirth so far. I will probably buy The Killing Joke pretty soon. What other Graphic Novels should I look into buying. I mostly like Marvel and DC comics, so any help would be appreciated.

I haven't bought any new ones lately, but here are some "classics" I have in my collection:
Batman: Year One Marvels Ruins Scud The Disposable Assassin "The Whole Shebang" (Seriously, 24 comics for $20, you can't go wrong) The Mask (Remember that Jim Carrey movie based on this comic? The comic 1,000X better! When Jigsaw said there will be blood, he was talking about this comic ) I've only skimmed through it but Star Wars Infinities looked really cool. It's like the original trilogy movies with the "What If?" treatment Last edited by Shogi; 10-09-2010 at 06:53 PM.. |

Also try Preacher (in order), and Fables from DC. Maus, 300, and Old Man Logan jump to mind.

If you're into historical war stories, check out Charley's War. A great read, and they also run articles in the back of each book detailing the research that went into it.

THe whole Walkind dead series.
The only other one I can think of is X-Men: God Loves, Man Kills. One of the best X-men stories ever. Kind of the first time you really kind of view Magneto as not so bad, and a ton of other cool stuff about society. One of my personal faves. |
